Freshly appointed Vice Chancellor of Jai Narain Vyas University (JNVU), R. P. Singh will not tolerate any kind of political interference from students’ side at any cost, which affects the routine functionality of the University. The vice chancellor made it clear in recent Maiden Proctorial Board Meeting of the National University.
R. P. Singh talked about safety and security of university students in the premises of college which is the need of this hour as per the discipline and strict compliance of university rules and regulations.
He expressed his concerns about the entry of unwanted and unauthorized social elements inside the campus and troublemaking of understudies which leaves an adverse and long lasting effect on the University’s regular operations. He mentioned about the installation of CCTV cameras in the campus along with accessibility and easy usage of walkie-talkies among the wardens and proctors.
Singh also issued directions not to make the university auditoriums and halls available to outside organisations. He said that only a single-door entry would be allowed on the old campus.
The Jodhpur based university came in inception back in the year 1962. It is the public university which is also renowned as University of Jodhpur. The University has been given B grade from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The core research and development activities of the University are based on society, heritage and challenges of the region due to its physical presence in Thar Dessert.
