Ex-NHAI chief Rajinder Pal Singh joins IRB infrastructure as Director, Chairman

IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd has grabbed the headlines, yet again. The company has recently announced the appointment of Rajinder Pal Singh as the independent director and chairman of one of its wholly-owned subsidiaries named IRB Infrastructure Private Ltd. Singh, 65, who has worked as the former National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) chief, will be taking over the new position from February 14, 2017.

Rajinder Pal Singh has previously served as anAdministrative Officer in the Indian government. He has been actively involved in working for sectors like finance, industry, urban development and infrastructure development. Singh has also been associated with Punjab & Sind Bank as the Chairman & Managing Director. Not to miss, he has held the position of secretary at the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotions. Currently, Rajinder Pal Singhis on the Board of Directors of renowned market players like Bharati Infratel Ltd, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd and Lodha Developers Private Ltd.

IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd is one of India’s largest private roads and highways infrastructure developers. The infrastructure giant has 22 BOT projects, with 14 of them already in operation. Within a decade of its listing, IRB has achieved a milestone of crossing 10,000 lanes kms, which is indeed a remarkable accomplishment by any private roads and highways infrastructure developer in India.
