Sheikh Ahmed Bin Dalmook Juma Al Maktoum on Ghana power plant case

Recently in an interview, the Royal Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Dalmook Juma Al Maktoum opened his heart about the much talked over Ghana – AMERI deal. The UAE prince elaborated about the specifications of the proposal which dealt to install an emergency power plant on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis i.e. AMERI would deploy its all equipment in Ghana, without charging a penny and would operate it for five years to recover its costs with a marginal profit; eventually would hand it over to the government and the people of Ghana for free.

Maktoum confirmed this proposition to be clear like water and set in motion for the betterment of the common people. According to him, “Any country that faces severe power shortages will never prosper as it is under inconceivable crisis.”

As he feels special soft corner for Ghana, he out-rightly offered his help in every possible manner by all legitimate means and has established AMERI plant in the region which is today generating the maximum 250MW, going straight to the national grid.

He also felt disappointed with the comments of Norwegian tabloid & Verdens Gang (VG)and discarded them completely by stating that such news were made with a hidden agenda as they are based upon detractions and are fabricated to mislead the masses. In addition, the company’s lawyers have served VG with legal notices as he would never allow anybody to malign with Noble reputation of Maktoum’s and goodwill of the business.

Since the Royal Prince upholds faith in the integrity of Umar Farooq Zahoor, the former CEO of the AMERI Group, he turned down each word said against him by saying he is the man of credible as well as trustworthy character.

Lastly, he addressed to Ghanaian people for counting him a partner in their transformational development and believes “Action speaks louder than words”.
