South Zone AIU Meet will be organized at Alliance University

Alliance University is proud to announce  Association of Indian Universities 2 Meet   day meet of  South Zone Vice Chancellors  at its Central Campus on approaching December 11 and 12 of current year.

The contact person for this AIU South Zone vice chancellors’ meet is Dr. P Janaki Ramudu, who is the Dean of Academics at Alliance University. Bengaluru based Alliance University will be witnessing a remarkable meet on ‘Globalising Indian Higher Education: Issues, Challenges and Roadmaps’.

The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) was formerly renowned as The Inter-University Board (IUB) of India, which was formed by Viceroy of India, Lord Reading, on March 23, 1925. The association was composed after lot of discussion and debates in a conference of vice chancellors of various universities of that time. The mission behind establishing AIU was the promotion of university activities by different means which include sharing of thoughts & information and cooperating in various fields like education, culture, sports and others of same sort.It also maintains close  relations with international organisations in the field of higher education including Commomwealth of learning.

Institutes of National Importance, Deemed-to-be Universities, Open Universities and Professional Universities, all types are welcomed to be a member of AIU along with Traditional Universities. Association of Indian Universities also grants membership of the same to neighboring countries’ Universities.

Alliance University was founded in 2010, under the aegis of Alliance Business School. The city campus is located in BTM layout, Bengaluru and Alliance university main campus is located on Chandapura-Anekal main road, Bengaluru. It has academic schools including Alliance School of Business, Alliance School of Law, Alliance College of Engineering and Design & Alliance Ascent College.
