Micromax co-founder Rajesh Agarwal stated that setting up of the companies is likely to boost the electronic manufacturing clusters in Uttar Pradesh.
Micromax and OPPO , India’s leading mobile phone brands are all geared up to set up their mobile manufacturing units in Greater Noida. Deepak Singhal, Chief Secretary, Uttar Pradesh looks forward to extend complete support and corporation to both the mobile phone manufacturing companies. He stated that all the facilities will be provided to both the companies on priority basis.
Micromax co-founder Rajesh Agarwal stated that setting up of the companies is likely to boost the electronic manufacturing clusters in Uttar Pradesh. OPPO would set up its unit on around 150 acres, while the unit of Micromax would be established over 17 acres of land.
The setting up of the companies would create a number of employment opportunities in Greater Noida. The Chief Secretary of UP highlighted that about 5,000 jobs would be directly created in Micromax unit, whereas, 30,000 direct employment opportunities would be created in OPPO manufacturing unit. It would also create the same number of indirect job avenues. He further added that Micromax would be making a capital investment of Rs 210 crore.
Akhilesh Yadav, the Chief Minister of UP presented the land allotment-letter to Micromax in order to expedite the implementation of project. As per the senior officials of OPPO, the company looks forward to develop five crore mobile phone manufacturing capacity per year in next three years.
Mr. Deepak Singhal highlighted that a manufacturing unit of OPPO has been already set up in Noida. He directed that District Magistrate of Gautambudh Nagar along with officials of departments concerned to facilitate the site-visit of OPPO officials tomorrow and to provide necessary information. The event was graced by the presence of a number of prominent personalities like the Co-founder of Micromax Informatics Rajesh Agarwal and Head, Commercial Rakesh Gupta, Vice-President of OPPO Eric and Administrative Manager of the company, Chief Executive Officer of Greater Noida Deepak Agrawal.
