Micromax to target huge market share with its Micromax Yunique 4G

Micromax Yunique is the smart phone option to be given by Micromax, with unique features including 4G. It is the cheapest 4G smart phone which will be catering the needs of majority of people. Yunique is being sold in a tie up with Snapdeal at Rs 4,999.

Rahul Sharma is the co-founder of Micromax and founder of YU. His company expects to sell more than 2 million 4G LTE smart phones within a year. 5 lakh of those devices will be sold before Diwali this year. According to Rahul Sharma, Yunique is their latest device which will help the company to be the leading ‘online only handset’ brand in India.

Yu will also introduce its 825 service centers across 600 Indian cities. Hardware support will be provided to customers along with software support. The company is also planning to integrate a host of application-based services that it has gotten hold of through strategic investments with all of its smart phones.

Yunique smart phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box, with support for Cyanogen 12.1. It features a 4.7-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution display with pixel density of 312ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, clocked at 1.2GHz, paired with 1GB LPDDR3 RAM and Adreno 306.

The smartphone includes 8GB of inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 32GB). In addition, the Yu Yunique features an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with f/2.0 aperture LED flash and a 2-megapixel fixed-focus 83-degree wide-angle front-facing camera with 3P Lens and f/2.4 aperture. The 4G LTE-enabled devices supports TDD Band 40 (2300MHz) and FDD Band 3 (1800MHz) for India. It is backed by a non-removable 2000mAh Li-Po battery.
