Law Institutes Across the Country Organizing Online Classes During Lockdown

Coronavirus outbreak has imposed a range of challenges in various sectors, from transportation to education and from medicine to farming. Almost every field of the country’s economy has been brought to a standstill. Although CBSE examinations for class 10th and 12th are over, college and university students are still waiting for their semesters to end. Keeping in mind the importance of students’ time and education, law colleges in India have switched to online classes. Overlooking a few glitches, the classes are more or less running smoothly and students are getting benefited immensely during the period.

Pune-based law institute, Bharati Vidyapeeth New Law College, is among the leading colleges that promotes online education during the lockdown period. The college principal, Dr Bhagyashree Deshpande, in an address to students, advised them to engage in online activities to train their brains. “We couldn’t conduct semester examinations in time due to the lockdown, leaving various questions in the students’ minds. Without paying heed to rumors, wait for the official reports by the university. While staying at home, let’s be more creative and productive by taking part in various online classes and activities,” she said.

BVP New Law College, like many other Law institutions in the country, has announced to conduct online classes for its students. Law Faculty, University of Delhi is also offering online classes in a bid to not let the education of students get hampered due to COVID-19 lockdown. Students across India were raising concerns about their incomplete syllabus on social platforms. It forced universities and colleges to begin online classes.

Owing to the improved internet accessibility in the country, it has become quite easy for organisations to conduct online meet and classes through video conferencing apps. All we can hope is the lockdown to end soon and colleges to start conducting examinations so that their careers don’t face any issue.
