JNVU commenced online admission process once again

Jai Narain Vyas University (JNVU) once again commenced its online admission process for graduation courses for the third consecutive year. The university offers 5000+ seats to senior secondary passed outs in 5 different courses which are based on heritage, society and similar areas.

The in-charge of the online admission process, Sunil Kumar Parihar said, “We had started the on-line application system in 2013 but this year round, we have started taking the application fee on-line also, taking it one step forward”. He also mentioned that the admission process which started on 3rd June of this year, will end on June 18, 2015. But an additional late fee of Rs 100 will be charged after the deadline, but before June 25, 2015.

Adding to this, the vice chancellor R P Singh said, “We have decided not to extend the last date of application as we are determined to start the session in one time.” He said that a large number of students are applying for the admission, which will require the time to prepare the list of successful candidates.

The university administration is in no mood of any increase in the seat number in any faculty even if the number of applicants goes high but can consider the increases only in the Self Finance Scheme (SFS) seats.

There admissions are taking place for the arts, commerce and science faculties for over 5000 seats, including those of Self Finance Scheme (SFS) in the New Campus, Old Campus, Evening Study Centre, K N Girls College and Law faculty.

According to Parihar, the applicants will be given an option to opt for SFS for the course applied for, if he or she failed to get admission in the main course. “We have about 1200 seats in all categories in SFS, so that the students, failed to make it to the main course due to lower marks, can get admission in SFS courses”, he said.

The percentile formulae had been adopted by the university last year and this year also, the merit will be based on the outcome of this formula.
