Galgotias University achieved record placements yet again with over 85% of the CS students being recruited in Round-1 placements with over 120 top corporates. Tech-leaders Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro and Tech Mahindra absorbed huge numbers of students, with many receiving multiple job offers. IBM partners Galgotias University’s CS programs in the domains of Cloud Computing & Virtualization, Open Source Software & Open Standards, Business Analytics, Telecom Informatics & Mainframe Technology. The global tech-giant has set up labs and is co-develops syllabus and pedagogy as well as teaching processes.
Galgotias University was also recently awarded the prestigious DQ-ICT Awards yet again, for Excellence in Academics and Placements. The award was conferred upon Galgotias University by Narayan Murthy, Chairman Emeritus, Infosys. Galgotias University was the only education institution at the awards which are normally reserved for titans of the ICT industry. The DQ-ICT Award recognised Galgotias University’s contribution to knowledge creation through courses in emerging technologies through alliances with industry leaders like IBM and with leading universities of the world such as Purdue University, University of Marylnd, Goethe University etc. The ICT industry feted the university for developing highly skilled manpower for the technology industry. Speaking on the occasion, Suneel Galgotia, Chancellor, Galgotias University, said that it was logical that top corporates and media regularly recognized and awarded the university’s pursuit of world-class academic standards & pedagogies, foreign university partnerships, global-level faculty and complete integration with industry.
