89th Academy Awards: Highlights and Complete Winners’ List of Oscars 2017

The Academy Awards, or ‘Oscars’ are Hollywood’s biggest night! The 89th Academy Awards to honour the best cinematography work for the year 2016 was held on February 26, 2017, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles (California). An ocean of celebrated stars and biggies of the movie business graced the occasion with their presence.

Emma Stone proudly took the golden statuette home for winning the ‘Best Actress Award’ for her performance in ‘La La Land’, while Casey Affleck walked away with the ‘Best Actor Award’ for ‘Manchester By The Sea’.

And well, who could forget that little Oscars fiasco this year? ‘La La Land’ was mistakenly announced as the ‘Best Picture’ instead of ‘Moonlight’. The cast and crew of ‘La La Land’ were halfway through their acceptance speeches when it was announced that Barry Jenkins’ ‘Moonlight’ was the actual winner. What a dramatic end to the evening!
