The celebration of Diwali goes on for 5 continuous days and the enthusiasm does not dull even till the last minute. Such a celebration is historic and Bikano takes the opportunity to wish each and every one a very happy, prosperous, enlightened and fulfilling Diwali.
The primary day of the festival is commended with “Dhanteras”, the day when people purchase gold, silver or utensils. The second day is celebrated as “Choti Diwali”. Third day is the main day of the festival which is celebrated with diyas, lights, rangoli, greetings, desserts, bursting crackers and all of this is done with amalgamation with love and affection.
The fourth day is celebrated as “Govardhan pooja” and the fifth day as “Bhai duj”. Diwali celebrates the arrival of the day when Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile. Diwali also celebrates the triumph of Goddess Kali over Bakasura.
Diwali is a legendary festival that has its roots deep in our mythology but what is better is that that the day is celebrated in our country and among Indians throughout the world with unparalleled zeal and devotion. Bikano feels proud to be a part of such a rich heritage and believes that we all must respect our culture and celebrate the day with pride.
