Hrithik Roshan seems to be around controversies a wee bit more every day. Super 30, the movie which was supposed to be released in January, has now been postponed to July 6, 2019.
The actor took to Twitter and wrote, “Happy to announce that #Super30 is headed for release on July 26, 2019. Bahut jald samay badalne wala hai (The times are going to change soon).”
After being all over the news with Kangana Ranaut allegedly exposing him of threatening her, this is the second time Hrithik Roshan has made it to the news because of having ties with Super 30 director Vikas Bahl, who has been accused of sexual harassment.
Breaking his silence on allegations against Bahl, Roshan said it is “impossible” for him to work with any person “guilty of such grave misconduct”.
He tweeted, “It is impossible for me to work with any person if he/she is guilty of such grave misconduct. I am away and have access to only sporadic information. I have requested the producers of Super 30 to take stock of the apparent facts and take a harsh stand if need be. He added, “This is not to be hushed or brushed under the carpet. All proven offenders must be punished and all exploited people must be empowered and given strength to speak up.”
The complainant was a former employee of the now closed production house Phantom Films, which was co-founded by Vikas Bahl. Phantom was also a part of the production in Super 30. After changing the dates multiple times, January 25, 2019 was initially chosen as the release date, and the movie was set to clash with Thackeray and Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.
About Super 30
Based on the life of Patna-based scholar Anand Kumar, Super 30 showcases how he trains an annual batch of 30 deserving IIT-JEE aspirants from economically weak backgrounds with an admirable success rate. The film has been produced by Reliance Entertainment and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. Along with Hrithik Roshan the movie stars Mrunal Thakur, Amit Sadh and Nandish Sandhu.
The movie “Super 30” trying to circumvent the latest controversy uproar:
The Hrithik Roshan feature film ‘Super30’ revolves around Anand Kumar, founder of the famous and successful ‘Super 30’ programme. The students who appeared for the entrance and were a part of the “super30” programme feel distraught and are now coming out to protest. Students even went out to state that the founder of coaching institute Super 30, was a fraud. This entire controversy has put the movie in jeopardy.
Wrong information was uploaded on the Anand Kumar institute’s Wikipedia. It was stated that Kumar’s coaching institute Ramanujam School of Mathematics shows fabricated numbers, higher success rate than actual.
This year too, Anand Kumar has claimed that 26 out of 30 students from his ‘Super 30’ group have cleared the IIT entrance exam. But he was not able to disclose the names of the 26 students who had qualified for the IIT entrance. Manibhushan Pratap Sengar,a High court advocate, claimed in his petition that Kumar showed students of other institutes as his own.
He has also been alleged to not release the list of IIT aspirants on purpose, to not make it verifiable by the external sources, which has further raised eyebrows.
Popularly known as an IIT Baba, who just whisks his wand and get you into IIT, Anand Kumar’s market strategy works like a bait for young aspirants. In hope of qualifying the IIT entrance exam, students from different parts of the country approach him with full faith.
But after reaching there, Anand Kumar makes the students take admission in his coaching institute by charging Rs 33,000 per student in the name of teaching them. Thus, the supposedly “free” education which Anand marketed was false advertising
