Jacqueline Fernandez recreates Madhuri Dixit’s ‘Ek do teen’ style for Baaghi 2

Donning the multicoloured-layered lehenga, actress Jacqueline Fernandez imitates the iconic ‘Ek do teen’ style of the versatile actress Madhuri Dixit.

The very first look of ‘Ek do teen’ song from Baaghi 2 took the social media today, on March 16. The actress herself shared her picture from the song. She can be seen posing the same Madhuri-style in the picture.

When the film Tezaab got released in the year 1988, India got one of its biggest female superstars, Madhuri Dixit. For her dance performance in the song ‘Ek Do Teen’, she became a household name. The song remains a classic even to date.

The song being rebooted by Jacqueline Fernandez, leaves people with high expectations. Looking absolutely stunning, she has clearly put all her efforts to do justice to the song. Moreover, her hard work in recreating Madhuri’s style has appeared perfectly.

Taran Adarsh, movie critic and trade analyst shared the first look on his Twitter handle and captioned,

The leading actress of the movie, Disha Patani took to Twitter and revealed the teaser of the song. The original song was choreographed by the Bollywood veteran – Saroj Khan.

Adding some contemporary dance moves and gestures, the new song has been choreographed by three choreographers on board — Saroj Khan, Ahmed Khan and Ganesh Acharya, with an aim to make it look more attractive. Nevertheless, the teaser suggested that the essential tune of the song remains the same.

The director has tried to retain look of Madhuri from the original song. Especially, the yellow-and-pink skirt that the actress worn, making it a rage in the 1990s. According to a Mid-day report, director Ahmad Khan also had suggested fashion designer Manish Malhotra to use elements from Madhuri’s outfit in the new song as well.

Talking about the song earlier Jacqueline wrote, ‘’I can’t wait for Madhuri ma’am to watch the song. It is my tribute to her. Her performance in the original is unmatchable. Forget me, no one can ever come close to her.”

Whether the song will work in favour of the movie or not, will be known on the release of the whole song.

Starring Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani, the film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner name Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and presented by Fox Star Studios. It will hit the theatres on March 3.
