Suresh Wadekar celebrated his 61st birthday at Sarnaik residence

After delaying his 61st birthday celebration since August 7, Suresh Wadekar finally got a chance to rejoice the party organized by Pratap Sarnaik at Sarnaik residence. Pratap Sarnaik is Thane based politician who is no less than a family to Suresh Wadekar from the last 25 years.

The delay in celebration was a boon in disguise for party organizers as it gave them more time to arrange everything and invite everybody. A musical night was organized for the musical legend where a jugalbandi was witnessed by people present at the moment. Jugalbandi included Suresh Wadkar and singer Mika Singh, who was on tabla. It became a highlight of the eve.

Former cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar, who is also a good friend of Wadekar, was also present to grace the evening. He narrated his dressing room tales, that how cricketers used music to keep themselves entertained.

Filmmakers like Madhur Bhandarkar and Joe Rajan also attended the party along with singing sensations Hariharan, Shaan, Shailendra Singh and Sonu Nigam. Tabla whiz Taufiq Qureshi and Sadhana Sargam became a part of the eve with Bollywoos stars Akbar Khan and Dino Morea.

Suresh Wadekar will complete his 4 decades in the music industry next year. He is well renowned for his contribution in Marathi, Konkani and Bhojpuri movies apart from Hindi film industry. After winning sur-sangam in 1976, his career started from then as many music experts approached him after this. It was a turning point for him as he didn’t look back after that.
