Ontario based Daisy Intelligence secures $5 million funding from Espresso Capital

Ontario based AI driven start-up Daisy Intelligence secured $5Million funding from Espresso Capital. Reaching top spot for ElevateR Pitch, AI Edition Event help in Toronto on Tuesday.

The pitch competition was opened to many Canadian corporations working in Artificial Intelligence or an adjacent sector with less than $10 Million in revenue or funding. Organization which was selected from the overwhelming volume of submissions, 16 finalists who pitched onstage to the panel of investors, celebrities and media personalities for an opportunity to win $1,000,000 in funding from Espresso Capital.

After the tough competition from various start-ups, Daisy Intelligence emerged winner in the platform.

After the announcement of the winner, the stakes raised considerably when Espresso Capital announced that winner is getting $5 Million instead of $1,000,000.

Speaking on the latest win Gary Saarenvirta CEO of Daisy Intelligence said- This event was a fantastic experience and a stellar showcase of Canada’s tech start-up community and being part of AI start-up, it is thrilling to be recognized as Canada’s most promising AI companies. Also adding Mr. Saarenvirta said “We look forward to putting the investment to work in achieving Daisy’s vision, which is to use math and science to better people’s lives and help companies make better business decisions.”

The company has a vision of utilizing the funds in the area of talent acquisition and marketing, which can fuel organization goals and mission in expanding its operations. Since long Daisy intelligence is already strong growth in the active grocery sector is keen to expand its operation in wider retail category as well as the company’s footprint in the insurance industry.

Echoing with CEO of Daisy Intelligence, Espresso Capital Managing Director, Will Hutchins said- “This round of funding is designed to enable the company to further accelerate revenue, build scale and increase enterprise value – without dilution.
