Nutritional Farming is gaining popularity across the world and particularly in India, an agro-based economy, where farmers are being taught to cultivate nutritional crops. Former chairman of Orind Refractories, Ravin Jhunjhunwala has recently launched Nutrition Bio Systems Pvt Ltd, a step towards promoting Nutrition Farming in India. The initiative has been taken in collaboration with Mr. Graeme Sait, the founder of Australia-based Nutri-tech Solutions.
Ravin Jhunjhunwala has launched an Agro Nutrient Kit which is aimed at revolutionizing agricultural practices followed in India. Ravin said, “This nutrient kit will boost and enhance crops during each stage of its growth and pre-harvesting.”
The nutrient kit has been developed by Graeme Sait. Graeme is a globally acknowledged individual who spearheads nutri – tech solutions. He has developed a low cost but high yielding plant and soil nutrition multi stage course for India.
The initiative by Ravin has already developed into a Pan India module and various trails on crops like rice and cotton have been successfully conducted during 2014-15.
“The programme consists of certain products to be used in the recommended combinations for specific crops like cotton, rice, wheat, sugarcane, various nuts like groundnut, etc.,” said Ravin. The kit includes products that contain Humates, Vitamins, Minerals, Tricho-Shield, Zinc Oxide and other ingredients which help in promoting Nutrition, Bio or Organic Farming, he added.
There are multiple advantages of Agro Nutrirent Kit. It will help retain rain water in soil up to 6-7 times, and secures water shortfall. It will boost the growth of crops by 25 to 30% and will help in replenishing soil, plant and crop as it is a mineral based nutrient. It yields crops that are free from chemicals and is very helpful in multi crop due to reduced consumption. The seeds are also less expensive and have enhanced germination.
