The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs will be working closely on the reforms of ease of doing business in India. The Center will make changes in the policies and procedures to improve India’s global ranking.
The process to asses ‘Ease of Doing Business-2019’ will begin in February 2019 and will go on till August or September. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned that the government has been taking concrete steps towards the development on infrastructure in the country.
Giving all due attention to the people involved on ground level, he praised the efforts of farmers and professionals who are directly, or indirectly a part of this entire process.
India’s ease of doing business ranking has jumped 23 places to number 77. However, it is still being called “middle-class” by dignitaries like World Economic Forum’s founder and Executive Chairman Klaus Shwab. Owing to the fact that it needs to go a long way, numerous efforts are being made in the direction.
Another concept, ease of living, which is closely related to ease of doing business, is being given attention by the Center. The Digital India Campaign is amongst the efforts being made by the government that provide the necessary infrastructure. According to the Prime Minister, this is the foundation stone for the 4th industrial revolution.
A few other projects that have been launched by the government under the same pretext, which include – Thane-Bhiwandi-Kalyan (Metro 5) and the Dahisar-Mira Bhayander (Metro 9) in this Mumbai suburb, the Navi Mumbai Town Planning Authority City & Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) mass-housing scheme worth Rs 18,000 crore, and more.
A well-knit working environment and structure will only come into picture when both the schemes are run parallel. Lack of infrastructure can be a major hindrance in ease of doing business, and thus, a holistic growth can only be achieved with a well-thought blueprint.
The speed and scale of development is slowly putting India on a pedestal higher than yesterday. The increase in warehousing and logistics department and the investment by foreign companies are pointing towards a better ranking for the country in the future.
