Rahul Bhatia, the co-owner of IndiGo Airlines, met aviation minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju in Delhi on Wednesday. This happened after a video went viral of a passenger being manhandled by the airline staff at the Delhi Airport went viral on social media.
The aviation minister has in this regard, asked IndiGo to submit a detailed report about this incident.
“We have handed over the report to the government and are waiting for a response,” Rahul Bhatia commented. “It would be better if one does not come to any conclusions before the government says anything. After the report, you will know that we have not been sitting silent for the past 21 days,” he further added.
On whether the airline’s image would be damaged after this incident, Bhatia said that he was more worried about the “pollution levels at the moment”.
The incident video went viral on social media on Tuesday, after Rajiv Katyal, the passenger was abused and manhandled by the ground staff right after alighting from the aircraft.
