Pune-based Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, New Law College is proud to organise 6th Justice PN Bhagwati International Moot Court Competition on Human Rights on March 19 and 20, 2016, with the theme, ‘Quest for Excellence in Human Rights’. The competition will be organised at New Law College Auditorium Erandwane, Paud Road, Kothrud, Pune.
The 6th Justice PN Bhagwati International Moot Court Competition on Human Rights will be inaugurated on March 19, 2016, and the valedictory function will continue till March 20, 2016. During the inaugural ceremony, the Judge of Supreme Court, Hon’ble Justice V. Gopala Gowda will be the Chief Guest and the Chief Justice at Chhattisgarh High Court, Hon’ble Justice Navin Sinha will be gracing the valedictory function next day as the Chief Guest.
Bharti Vidyapeeth Deemed University New Law College, Pune is organising this Human rights’ competition to pay a tribute to the former Chief Justice of India, Hon’ble Justice PN Bhagwati. The competition has earned a good reputation across the globe and it is one of the much-awaited events in the legal academia. Many people also consider it as the only competition from length and breadth of India, which explores the new dimensions of human rights at the global level.
An official spokesperson from Bharti Vidyapeeth Deemed University New Law College, Pune told a concerned media person, “It’s an honour for BVP University and New Law College to organise the competition for Human Rights every year. We are fortunate to have a remarkable personality in India like Hon’ble Justice PN Bhagwati, who was more than a guiding light for a number of people. He inspired so many people, so organising a Human Rights competition is the least we can do to pay him and his work a tribute.”
Apart from organising competitions and seminars at such great level, New Law College conducts annual Judicial Colloquia where judges of Supreme Court of India and various High Courts, are invited to spread the mindfulness among law students of New Law College via an interactive session.
