Heritage Foods Conferred with National Energy Conservation Award

Heritage Foods Limited has been conferred with the prestigious National Energy Conservation Award in Dairy Sector for the year 2014 at All India level. Heritage Foods was selected for the 1st prize by the Ministry of Power, Government of India for using effective energy conservation methods in its Uppal Dairy Plant, Hyderabad, Telengana State which resulted in a substantial drop in energy consumption and higher productivity to energy consumed ratio.

Heritage Foods has received this award for the fourth time. The company earlier won the award in years 2008, 2010 and 2012. The award was presented on December 14, 2014 at New Delhi by Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy.

An official spokesperson for Heritage Foods said, “ It is an honor to be bestowed with the National Energy Conservation Award. What makes it all the more special is that we have been conferred with it for the 4th time.  This is a result of the vision that company works with. We lend a keen focus on using eco friendly methods. We understand that there is a strong need to conserve energy.”

With this news, Heritage Food Limited’s stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 403.9 and intraday low of 393.35. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 3724020. Shares of Heritage Foods Limited were last trading in BSE at Rs.397.7 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 398.95. The total number of shares traded during the day was 9344 in over 676 trades.
