ISRO launched free online courses for professionals and students: Details below

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has is offering free-of-cost courses. These three new online courses to working professionals and students who are looking to enhance their skills. These courses are offered by the IIRS (Indian Institute of Remote Sensing).

 

The applicants will be awarded a certificate at the end of the program. Due to the current COVID-19 situation, the courses will be conducted online.

 

ISRO and IIRS courses being offered are:

  1. Course on Machine learning to Deep Learning: A journey for remote sensing data classification.
  2. Course on Overview of Web GIS Technology.
  3. Course on Earth Observation for Carbon Cycle Studies.

 

The application window for all three courses is now open. Candidates who want to apply can do so by visiting the official website of IIRS, iirs.gov.in, and filling out the registration form if they are eligible.

Candidates can attend the online courses through any web browser. Candidates have to enter the class through the online portal of IIRS Dehradun. They will also have an option to attend the live workshop via the YouTube channel of IIRS.

 

As per the details mentioned on the web page, participants who complete 70% of sessions of the course live through the E-class portal will attain a certificate. The candidates attending the YouTube session will be required to mark attendance offline.
