Inspired by French and ruled by the lady, the British Capital has not been deprived of any businessmen’s eye.
How’s London? Well, the Chairman of Hindustan Power Projects Pvt. Ltd. (HPPPL), Ratul Puri himself shares his experiences of countless visits to the English land, from where the concepts of management and organisation were inculcated by the colonised Nations.
Ratul Puri not only appreciates the architecture of the city but also find Savoy Hotel, The Ritz, The Lanesborough and The Connaught fitting well in that category. Finding privacy is not a tough task in London and to know the city from close, one can take a ride of the underground, which is the heartbeat of the city.
When it comes to dining, Ratul Puri recommends Gymkhana, where South Indian chicken will refresh all your senses. From sizzling sound of the chicken being sauté in the kitchen to mesmerizing aroma and the appealing sight of it, will tempt you to go bare hands on the culinary art. According to Ratul Puri, other Indian authentic treats like Amaya Restaurant Grill and Bar, Dishoom at Covent Garden should be on a businessman’s priority list while visiting Queen’s territory.
The fast night life of London is another world for seasoned veterans and first-time visitors. East End of London is considered best for shoe shopping by Ratul Puri and other industrialists. The man didn’t forget to mention a visit to Scotland if the business trip can be extended a bit longer.
The crowd’s passionate reaction during the Wimbledon is worth catching if one is fortunate enough to visit during the season. Ratul Puri also warns about rampant pickpocketing at Oxford Street and Regent Street along with authentic English cuisine, which many Indians don’t prefer to have.
A valuable piece of advice by Ratul Puri is to carry an umbrella while walking on the streets of London to avoid getting wet in the rain of no season.
