After receiving such a huge response from 50 countries last year, “Click a Smile” is back with hopes and opportunities. The exclusive panel of judges will be gracing the competition, with their skills to assess the photographs clicked by the professional and amateur photographers, as the competition is open for all.
There were more than 1,400 people who participated in the competition last year. With the panel of expertise like Kanick Samuel, Suresh V.B and Vicky Roy, the bar of the competition has raised where more people are expected to participate this year than the last.
Kanick Samuel is the Senior Creative Director at JWT Bangalore; Suresh V.B is a professional photographer who graduated from CKP and worked for a decade with O&M; Vicky Roy was selected by the US-based Maybach Foundation to click the photographs of rejuvenating World Trade Centre, back in 2008 and record the history.
To take part in the competition, you just have to log on to http://www.akshayapatra.org/submit and submit up to 3 photographs of a smiling child or children in file size not exceeding 4 MB and resolution more than 800 pixels. Do not forget to caption it and describe the same while registering. The competition is open for all age groups and everybody around the world. The top three winners will get selected by the panel of jury and rewarded with gift vouchers by Akshaya Patra and 50 photographs will also be displayed at Akshaya Patra’s annual photography exhibition 2015 at Bangalore, where the artist will get full credits for his art.
The Akshaya Patra is a Bangalore based non governmental and nonprofit organisation which is delivering Mid-Day meal in the government and government-aided schools across the Nation, as the social organisation has a strong vision to eradicate the problem of malnutrition across India.
