The next big smartphone: Vivo NEX price, features and availability

A swanky phone introduced to the Indian smartphone market in June 2018, the Vivo NEX was launched in June 2018. The phone features a 6.59 inches of multi-touch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2316 pixels. Weighing 199 grams, Vivo NEX measures 162 x 77 x 7.9 mm.

Powered by an Octa core processor, Vivo NEX is clocked at 1.7 GHz speed and Adreno 616 GPU. The phone also supports dual SIM and packs a non-removable Li-Ion 4000 mAh battery. The smartphone has a 12MP camera with geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama features. On the front, users get 8 MP pop-up camera.

Vivo NEX comes with 128GB internal storage and 6 GB of RAM. Hotspot, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS are the connectivity options present in the phone, apart from 2G, 3G and 4G Network Types.

Other salient features of the handset include:

  1. The feature-packed Jovi AI assistant, that boasts of NLU (natural language understanding), ASR (automatic speech recognition), emotion detection, text-to-speech etc.
  2. A dedicated Jovi AI assistant button
  3. DCI-P3 color gamut supported by the camera.
  4. Screen SoundCasting technology that aids in achieving a bezel-less display by replacing the earpiece from the front side.

As of now, Vivo NEX price in India for the base Snapdragon 710 SoC option is about Rs 40,000.
